Steve has been involved in the culinary arts ever since he began making salads at Plain Jane’s in Bethel at the age of 15. He continued his love for the culinary world at Johnson & Wales where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with an A.A.S in Culinary Arts and Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Food Service Management. After graduation the lure of L.A. brought him to the Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club and then the Encounter Restaurant and Bar in the center of L.A. While there, he sharpened his skills working on celebrity parties ranging from Shaquille O’Neil’s birthday to the launch party for the first Austin Powers movie. Steve returned to his roots in sunny CT and in 2003 began working as the Sous Chef at WCSU. He assumed the duties of Executive Chef in 2006. Steve and his wife, Laura, live in Southbury and take care of their rescued puppy, Deuce. They enjoy taking him hiking and partaking in the many outdoor activities Connecticut has to offer. |
